Hi everyone. With dosbox 0.72,I managed to play the game without any serius problems, but I`ve reached the 3rd cd where I have to fight the evil me or kill the butcher but when I drink the beer or hit the butcher the system crashes and I get the message:ERROR!-"memory allocation error, size -1".I`ve tried changing the mesmerize value in nf(from 8-1024)and I`ve tried loadfix but nothing seems to work!Any ideas? Harvester is a buggy game, so I'd keep trying. My guess is that your disc bad/scratched, or its just a random error (I faced quite a few of those as I was playing). I played thru the entire game in DOSbox, and did not face that problem. Thats all i get is a blue screen, no sound, buttons,īuffled: One other thing that might help is if you switch from full-screen mode to windowed-mode, or vice versa (just hold down ALT + ENTER).īuffled: Sorry to hear about the game crashing when you reach CD3. Ok so i did everything you guys said and it actually started up!!!(this is BIG cause im doing this on VISTA BITCHES!!!) haha, anyway, when it starts up this blue freakin screen with black swirlys lookin like a toilet from tha twulight zone pops up.and its frozen like that Other games work fine in DOSBox, I've got everything properly configured. I've tried switching directories, reinstalling, restarting, etc. Now, when I run HARVEST.EXE from either C: or D: I get the following error: ERROR! - "No CDROM detected!". I installed the game using INSTALL.EXE with no issues. I mounted my cd-rom (D:) to drive D in DOSBox and mounted the installation directory (c:harvest) to drive C in DOSBox. Odd bug, never seen something like that before. Well, uninstalled, remounted and reinstalled and now it runs. it says that its an "Invalid Drive Specification" I have tried everything. by default it has "C:HARVEST" but that doesnt work. When i go to install i will click Full install then it asks for destination drive and directory. Installation problem!!! need help! ( 04:05) I always get the "No CD Detected!" message. Now try to run the game as you normally would and Voila! Atleast it worked for me, so good luck!Īlright, total n00b here, but I've tried everything everyone suggested on this page and I cannot for the life of me get this game working. Now you should get the message: MSCDEX Installed. ![]() This is ofcourse if D is your CD DRIVE, if not then simply change the letter. I finally found the solution to the NO CD ROM problem. So after the D: put in a bracket (after the colon), or it wont work. Seems like this forum doesn't recognize brackets. Note: plan which drive you want to install to and mount that drive BEFORE getting to step 4) ![]() storage/emulated/0/Dos or similar). Can harvester be ran on android dosbox turbo? ( 03:18)ġ) mount (virtual) cd-rom drive (mount d "(cdrom drive letter):" -t cdrom)Ģ) mount install drive (c: is default)(mount c c:)Ĥ) type "install" and follow the subsequent instructions Let's suppose we call the game's folder " FGen" as we did before and let's suppose you copy this folder into your phone at this path: (adjust this with your real path, i.e. So I suppose that the script isn't working because it can't properly mount the CD-ROM. As I said in the previous post, you need to virtually load the game's CD-ROM: the file named " game.ins", located in the main folder is an image of the game's CD-ROM and the command " imgmount" I added in the autoexec script is the command to mount a CD-ROM image file. Well, that clarified, we still need to make the game run. I have the game installed on Linux and I have a subdirectory named " data" which contains the game's files, but on Windows the directory structure is different and the game's files are located in the game's installation path, hence my error. I do have everything from the GOG download copied to my phone. I don't see a file called data in this particular game.
